Pattern Making

Haigh Blocks has the facility and capabilities to take a concept through to a finished product to meet any customer requirement, what ever application this item is used in whether it be a one off item or multiply items. Whether it is a singular part through to a complete engine.

We would start the design as a hand drawn sketch or renderings, and then we would progress to our CAD CAM technician in which he will create a solid 3D model.

From there we can offer FEA if required if this is out work at this stage we would seek approval on the design of the concept, ensuring all parties are happy with the process.

Once all processes are completed we now send the 3d model to what ever division is applicable, whether it is our pattern making division in which they would use the 3d model to make patterns for casting.

Or our Cnc division where code and or programs will be created to machine.

Both pattern making and Cnc division and head foundry men are involved through out the design process as this is important to ensure the manufacturing of the item is possible and also allows input from our skilled tradesmen.
